- Cookware - Back to Business or Not
Observations at the trade shows this Spring consistently indicate increasing optimism among US suppliers and retailers. This was buoyed by the surprisingly strong year end retail sales performance that has carried through into the first part of this year. Several week ago Love to Cook, a local retailer in Logan Utah, hosted a chef event featuring chef Lorna Sass (a James Beard award winning chef) with Fissler products. Lorna is considered America's leading authority on vegan and pressure cooking.
Lorna hosted three sold out events at Love to Cook and demonstrated the Fissler Blue Point pressure cookers to prepare special foods for the attendees. Love to Cook reported sold over $4,000 in products during the three events over the weekend. You can be sure there will be more Fissler chef events in the future. Look for one in your area. (…)

One of the items that I saw in Chicago and then again in San Francisco is really an innovative cooking device. Most of us are familiar with the 'old' two burner hot plate. Useful in that could be move but clunky to look at and use plus temperature control was marginal. (…)
